RACHEL TRIBBLE
Rachel’s paintings have their basis in light and nature. Her current work is a unique blend of gilding paper and watercolor paint.
This color oriented work; a combination of realism, abstraction, painterly and surrealism developed out of her past work in New York and Minneapolis, creating nightclub atmospheres and color, light and sound installations for rock bands, rave productions and performance art.
In the mid 1990’s Rachel took a hiatus from her work as a professional artist, married her husband Terry, lived and worked among the Native American people, and became the mother of two boys.
Since then, she has returned to her traditional training as a painter, inspired by the journey she found herself on, and in the mystical world of the Aninshinabe people of her husbands tribe.
Rachel studied fine arts at Syracuse University and the National Academy of Design in New York .
